Anyone an expert on the subject / or have you obtained good results with your own work ? what are the secrets please
Both the screens on my 31K and 125Lc have minor scratches but more annoyingly "hazy" patches that i would like to return to good !
now years back I would have been able to claim regional honours for polishing "the cheesey Bell" however I feel a screen requires your advice
your help appreciated T

Used to get minor scratches out using metallic t cut. To get finer spay some mr sheen and t cut
Done helmet visors like this. Obviously plastic may be diff so I would just try a small corner or something first

flat the scratches /hazey area p800, 1200 then 2000 then polish up with a machine polisher set at a low speed with some compound and a small amount of water . try not to let it get too hot or it will melt but ive used this process many times on plastic car lights, bike screens, non painted plastics like mirror casings and car door mouldings etc

Warning Picture Heavy Item ;D : - I've dug this out from the archives so to speak just for you Paul ;D I spent quite a few hours on the screen, there were quite a few deep stone chips in various places and a couple of long scratches on the front, I've taken some pictures but some of the bits are hard to see in them : - First task I do is mask the black inner paintwork with electrical tape : - Next is the wet and dry, choose an area to work on and depending how deep the blemishes are I go to work with wet and dry - for light scratches I use 2000, for deep stuff I start off coarser then go to 2000 grade. In this one you might see 3 stone chips - in the reflection of the sky in the picture : - Then I get my scratch removing paste out, again, coarse first then fine later, I use it with a drill on slow speed - it can be done by hand but would take even longer : - Some other areas : - It does take some time and you have to be methodical as there are always scratches on both sides of the screen that need to be worked on, final touch is to remove the tape, mask off the clear part of the screen and respray the black edge, when thats dry give the screen a wax and polish : -
