Well, she finally landed yesterday. Don't see any of these dinosaurs round here 1988 Gsx1100efe. Always wanted one of these. Saw this one on ebay but was a long way away in West Yorks. Forum member Micksfocus kindly took a look for me and a deal was done over the phone. Had it delivered by courier yesterday, and so far all looks really good. it's got a Jmc arm, Hagon shock, Renthals with risers and a custom top yoke, plus a lovely sounding stainless Cobra pipe. It's not physically as huge as I thought it would be, which is nice as my poor old Hybrid has had to shuffle across the garage a bit so they can both fit ! Not ridden it yet but seams very comfy. Very 80's !! Regards Dusty

Hi, I checked out the pics of your Efe's, really nice, a credit to you. Really pleased I finally got one after years of wanting one, just a shame I had to sell my Lc2 to fund it. How easy was it to fit the Gixxer front end in yours ?

Lovely! I've always had a real soft spot for these - its a proper muscle bike. I'd definatly have space for one of these in my fantasy garage.

Hi, It certainly looks like it's been looked after. As soon as I saw it on ebay I liked the look of it. It's done 41000 miles which I know isn't high for a bike of it's age or engine size, and it doesn't look like it's been restored. The lacquer on the tank has crazed a bit, looking like lots of tiny scratches, but it doesn't bother me at the mo. Certainly sounds nice when running - engine seems quiet and smoke free, and I think the mods that have been done are sensible for the bike, and are probably the sort of mods I would do to a standard bike. Just want it to stop raining so I can get her out of the garage and have a really good look at her. I've always thought of these as a four stroke icon bike in the same way the RD400 is a two stroke icon, ifyou know what I mean I've always had a bucket list of bikes I want to own, and there aren't many left to get now ! The Rg500 may be out of reach though Regards Dusty

the efe is a great bike, good engine and the look nice retro and also with the gsxr running gear.whats the plan for it? fit exup running gear or gsxr and nice paint job in the same style but different colours.( just thinking out loud again! ) yellow white and black would look good!

Thats a beauty, I can remember riding one not long after passing my test in 1986, I read a phrase in 'Which Bike ' just beforehand which stated the engine does not know what a hill or incline is...that summed it up for me!
