Now it could be me, but I bought a MPH speedo to replace the KMH original on the bike and it appears to have a shorter trip knob and won't fit in my shiney new clock covers 1 Can you remove the trip knob? 2 Did Yamaha make 2 different types? 3 Am I being a nob? Cheers R/H in photo is MPH End of MPH Speedo trip.

It should unscrew, LH thread, I think there is a hole down the middle of the knob and you can put a small jewellers screwdriver down it to try to stop the inner bit turning.
