start by fully charging the battery m8. good videos on checking batteries Here.Failing that check the stator output and reg/rec unit

If you've got a digital multimeter set the meter to DC 20V and put the red lead to the positive terminal on the battery and the black lead to the negative terminal. Start the bike and rev it above 2000rpm and you should see at least 14 Volts on the meter. To check the stator coils, disconnect the block connector that has 1 x blue wire and 3 x white wires going to the stator. Set your meter to the ohms x1 scale and check the resistance across each of the white wires going to the stator i.e white to white x 3. You should see a reading of 0.4-0.5 ohms if all is well. To check the reg/rec, disconnect the block conector, set your meter to the Diode scale, connect the black lead of your meter to the black wire and with the red lead of your meter touch each of the white wires. You shouldn't get a reading. Now reverse the leads putting the red lead of your meter to the black wire and touching the white wires with the meters black lead. You should get a reading. Now do the same test but testing between the red and white wires of the reg/rec. You should get a reading one way but not the other if it is ok. Hope this makes sense. Tone

No, the only test with the bike runing is the DC Volt test across the battery terminals. The tests on the stator coils and reg/rec are done with the ignition OFF as these are resistance checks. Tone
