Sigh... Ive bled a lot of brakes in my time, on cars and bikes, and never had the issue ive got with the ones on my Hybrid LC.
I am running a GSXR 1000 radial master cylinder and Tokico 6pots (from the likes of the bigger bikes ie. hayabusa).
I have a braided hose from the master to the splitter under the headstock and the OEM RGV/'busa rubber hoses to the calipers.
The master cylinder is the sort with the nipple on the top for bleeding... which says to me that these are obviously a pain to bleed LOL
So... filled with fluid and I can get a lever after a night of wiring the lever to the bars and ticking the bubbles out. but... that lever is only there on setting 1 and with a good handful it comes almost all the way back to the bars when static, on 6 it hits the bars easily.
Obviously when riding with it set on 1, that's actually a lot of braking and the things stops well, but it worries me... on paper this brake setup should pitch you over the bars with anything more than one finger use, but they dont... hmm....
Ive bled the brakes a lot of times, Ive also lifted and moved the calipers round a bit to try and remove trapped air. Ive also done the same at the splitter and also at the master cylinder...
So, anyone have any thoughts?
my next plan of action is to strip and clean up the lines and the splitter in case there is something in there thats the issue... Id rather not buy new hoses if i dont have to as my use of rubber in the lower half was to add some 'feel'... a mad plan maybe... hmm....
Any thoughts greatly received... Im not after making these stop like the do on a busa as that will kill me on the LC, but I worry about them as they are and that's not a good thing...
