Hi, i'm sure this has been covered before but can't find anything searching. I have fitted a new loom but the fitting for the sensor is a bullet and the original on the head is a spade fitting. The thread on the spade fitting is straight and the thread on a bullet fitting sensor is tapered so won't fit. Any ideas?

If you dont want to chop your new loom , go to your local car parts store and get a new sender for a 3ltr diesel landrover or discovery cost you about a fiver , should have the male bullet and the same resistance may have the part no somewhere

Why not make a converter lead with a bullet connector one end & a spade the other OEB

I think ypvs senders were tapered thread and lc was straight, if you need an lc sender with a spade connector let me know I have 2 spare. Jess

Thanks Mellow!! I like to have the right part for the job and I find it annoying when parts are supereceeded and they don't quite do the same job. very common on older jap bikes. Delbert, do you have that part no?? Cheers.

I had the opposite problem with the head. Mine a YPVS y3 head with tapered head and wanted to use the blade type straight thread.
Had to use the tapered thread bullet one and make a converter wire.
