Hi mate you have to split the engine but its quite easy if you have the tools, things to watch are as follows
Clutch basket you need to make or borrow a tool to hold this if not you will brake it
Flywheel you wil need a puller
dont forget have a good look at the crank if its border line change it.
other than that its a doddle just take your time

if you mean the two outer seals its just a case of lifting out the crank then changing old for new....did it myself recentlly..if you got the manual you should have no probs

i think most bikes have something like that when new but they get lost or drop off as the bikesget older...sounds like your bike must be well looked after, not like some of my old shitters

alright i'll put you out of your misery...i went in my garage and took my crank out to see if you had to remove the rotor n clutch like you were asking mate, coz thats the kind of guy i am... ...like i thought, the answer is YES...you do have to...the rotor n stator would be in the way of the crank seal even if you could split the cases...but behind the clutch basket there is a little doodad that joins the two crankcases together,i think it holds a bearing in...you can only get to this by removing the clutch...you really should have known... ...hope you appreciate me doing this coz im filthy now...bet you didnt even save me any kebab either...things i do... ...reet,im off to put it all back together i spose... ps oh yeah to clear up the clutch holding thing...you can indeed lock up the clutch with a 2p...but only the outer basket...like hooligan says you'll need a tool to lock the outer basket to the inner one to stop it spinning while you get the big nut off...i made a tool up out of old clutch plates once for a different bike though im afraid...could always try wedging your pecker in there...laters lawnmower man...

mellow, don't forget to lock up the con rods and loosen the nut on the righthand side of the crank m8.i never did this and had to put the casings back together to loosen it because i have'nt got a vice.this was on the rd 250e so don't know if yours will be the same.i had to take that nut off to change the crank seal
