Just over a week ago I bought a whole load of nuts & bolts of ebay for the rebuild. I wanted certain one's and lots of odd sizes for my Hybrid that's why I had to measure up and was just easy using one place for everything I could just click on.
Well the company is boltmeup, still not received anything from them but they have replied to my email saying they are sorting it out. I've read some of there feedback and other people have had problems BUT mine was not just one or two things, quite a large order for lots of things so thought I would not get a problem.
Anyone else used them?
Never made a claim so what is the steps for one if I do, ebay or paypal?
How long should I leave it or have I got to make a claim?
Cheers

its always easier to try and work it out with the seller,if they refuse to discuss the matter then start a paypal dispute, give it a week or so and see what happens,if you paid with paypal you should be right, from memory i think you have 40 odd days to claim, thats in australia anyway.good luck.

Cheers,
I will keep it friendly all the way as anything else just does not get matters resolved, took me ages figuring out what I wanted and needed after measuring up.
The message I got from them said parcel was still out for delivery with the Post office but he would be putting a claim in and asked me to sign forms, I replied saying the claim is for him to make as he is the sender etc. ( Allot nicer and better written obviously )
Asked to be told of the situation in the next couple of days either with something arriving or a refund.
I dont need it right this second but hopefully soon I will start the rebuild ( well 6 weeks ) Just want to have every thing in my hand ready, lots of other things to deal with inbetween as everyone knows with a rebuild.

Had used them before plenty of times without a problem but last time I used them I ordered dome head and got cap head - twice. Mailed them and they apologised and said they would replace them but they never arrived despite complaining.
Now try to avoid them if possible.

i have used them quite often too.Spot on seller.Stuff normally arrives the next day if ordered early enough. As others said give him chance.its the post office who have lost it by the sound of it as for claiming if you start a dispute ebay wont let u start it until after the estimated delivery date.then they contact the seller.then if not resolved they refund if paypal was used

i recently had a seller send me some things within the uk to my folks place and they used recorded delivery. The tracking said 'out for Del' but it never arrived. House wasnt 'carded' and the Del Office wouldnt help without the card... after a few weeks (which RM wanted to look into it) the seller was over it, and said 'nothing i can do' and wanted to walk away so i took over. Eventually RM said we had to wait for it to be returned to sender. It never arrived. RM said, the seller didnt put a return addy on the parcel... er, he claims he did. 'Well we know different' says RM... I said 'so if you know, then you must have the parcel, so send it to me...'. 'No...' they said 'we dont have it..', Er... ! In the end they denied the claim (as no return addy) and the seller eventually reluctantly paid me back some of my money... after 3months of asking for it (he claimed he had already done it!)! Ok, not your bolt man, but just shows you need to be on top of your RM delivery. Get down the del office rightaway if it says 'out for del' and youve not got it. Take the tracking number and dont leave til youve seen the delivery office manager and asked them to properly look and not just fob you off. The next bit is cos i once worked for RM on these things... if the parcel hit the del office and was tracked as 'out for del', then the postie had it in his bag. s/he can only deliver or bring it back after carding u... its a secure system and they have responsibilty once they take it, that responsibilty is absolved on the sign on screen or card at point of delivery or when tracking it back into the del office, where it is filed on a shelf. if s/he didnt deliver or card you and its not in the del office... s/he nicked it. plain and simple. no excuses. Im sure thats what really happened to my parcel as it was round xmas time and it might have looked and felt 'interesting'. sigh, RM are sadly as shonky as the rest of the world these days. Why cant they just sack the dodgy employee and pay out I will never know... you kind of expect more from something with Royal in the title... LOL
