Gents, I know someone can point me in the right direction. Am changing a 4L1 250 engine and sticking on some 4L0 350 barrels. Have been adviced that the oil pump will need to be changed as well. With other bits and pieces I have around the house it would appear that there are two different oil pumps available. Having read through someone elses mis-fotune on thie site, thought I had better check. The oil pump fitted to the 4L1 engine I have has 7 threads on the worm drive. I have a spare oil pump which is marked up as being a 4L1 but this has only 5 threads to the worm drive. Any advice would be appreciated.

Take Nik's advice and rebuild the pump.
Invaluable advice.

Thanks for the advice. I'll fit the one with 5 threads on the worm. Needed to just check having read through another LC Owners mis-fortune on the LC / YPVS Chat. They apppeared to have run dry then found out they had the one with 7 threads. If that makes sence.
