Evening ladies ;D My fuel tap on my F2 is getting quite stiff to turn now Im sure this has been asked before but i cant find the post for the life of me Should i take the knob etc off the tap and put some red rubber grease on the o ring? and should i put some on the other seal in there? Also is red rubber grease ok for fuel tap as its really for brakes and brake fluid Also does anyone know if i take the knob off and the 2 screws to get to the o ring will fuel piss out or will it be held in as diaphragm stop it Cheers

Think you will find fuel will come out after removing the two screws and plate to get to the O ring. Haven't tried it myself but what about clear silicone grease on the O ring to help lube it.

Fuel will piss out as the inlet from the tank will be exposed.
If it's stiff it probably means the rubber disc that seals between the tap handle and the openings in the body have become hard.
If you are going to open it up you would be better splashing out on a tap repair kit. Makes a massive difference.

I found my carb refurb kit. the diaphragm bit i definately changed, the old one is in the packet and is scuzzy. The rubber disc with 4 holes in also has small bits of crud on so im guessing i changed that too. The other two o rings in there (a large one and smaller thinner one) look to be quite clean and are soft.Im guessing i didnt change these,or they just dont get crudded up I dont remember takin the front off the tap, just changed the diaphragm from the rear of tap.Would i have been able to change the little disc with 4 holes from the rear side

Pretty certain you can only remove the round rubber seal with the four holes in it by removing the two screws, the plate, wave washer and tap rotor.
