Anyone got good/bad reviews of various headstock bearing pullers? Web links would be greatly appreciated... especially the tools known to work as advertised Regards CJ

The lower and upper outer ball races within the headstock are without a proud lip and no way possible to punch them out. A quick looky at Google and I came across this.. Anyone tried one of these with success?

if they have no lip then you may need to grind and drill them and then when thru punch them out. not sure about that tool. let us know how you go...

Thanks for the info but... I'm kinda thinking/wondering how the approved bike shops deal with this problem i.e. "Excuse me Mr Yamaha service man, but why have you got that battery drill and arc welder poised when all I wanted was the headrace bearings replaced on my £10k R1??? ;D Obviously I don't have a £10K R1 but you see my point

2 spots of weld and a hammer and drift work better than any puller, i remove bearing all day, most of them blind and we would be lost without our mig welder.

most of the pullers we use at work we have made ourselves, 9times out of 10 they work better than any main dealer puller
