Am looking for a short thin exhaust for my rd. is there a thing? Can people put up pics of pipes so I can see the difference? What effect would that have on performance? Is there a program I can use to try and see? thanks steve

You cannot just say short & thin, long & fat.
2T pipes is a Black Art and there is more to it than that. I understand pipes and know what should happen by changing different parts of the pipe, have also designed my own BUT nothing as good as Kenny's TSA or Martin77 pipes.
There is freebie software, most out there is done in Exel and are very basic. Not rely that good and then there is stuff you got to pay for like engmod2 BUT then again it takes years of research to even begin to know how to use this software as human effort is needed knowing more than a bunch of figures that are typed in ( Black Art )
There are very good write up's by people like Jenning's and a few others. Google that and you will find there books. I've read most of them out there over the years BUT understanding and knowing how too are very different things.
Then after all that you got to build the pipes, cone rolling is a fine Art again and there is software out there to layout your cones, I have cone rolled and am rubbish. Hydroforming is another way, little bit of Maths to work it out BUT still some good fabrication needed ( that's how I build mine )
I love pipe theory and seeing people's builds, I can fabricate, weld and know the theory.....Can I build pipes worthy for others or design a great out and out pipe....Nope.
But google and read 2T Pipe & Tuning theory's. That should keep you going a few years.

lol...Reason is I have looked for ages a peoples pipes ....some are shorter to the start of the fat bit...some longer. Some have long fat bit...some short. Some fat bits are HUGE...some are very slim. Wondered what effect these have on pipes...how it works etc. Again I can solder/ weld to a point...NOT gona try and make a set for the bike..just trying to understand more on what it does ...and How I could maybe rob peter to pay paul on dimension issues

You should get something to work, if you look at the old microns/allspeeds they are quite slim and had a reasonable performance. Steve

Will speak to kenny again about this . Just trying to research some stuff first. Always feel better to have a wee bit knowledge/understanding when asking for something to be done that way I can understand better when am told NO or YES
