Wan't to get my engine cases cleaned up and vapour blasting seems the way to go. But why not good old fashioned bead blasting, which i can get done localy?

blasting is harch and leaves the alloy with a slightley rough feel like wet and dry . vapor blasking is almost like a polish its smooth and gentel to the alloy .

O.K thanks for that. When the alloy is cleaned, do you have to then coat it in something?

not sure think there may be a spray u can get to slow the oxodising down but after a few weeks it gets duller so that clean shiny look wen u get it done first doesent last forever,if i was to do it again id get mine done locally with a fine bead blast
