right i have got two new exhausts to restore ,one standard rd125lc and one allspeed ,doing them both black ,this is them at minute mid way through cleaning paint off allspeed for repaint standard fitted (think this looks good to be honest) which is the best paint for these i was going to buy pj1 but its a bit expensive , dont mind if it is the best and closest match to original any one used the one yambits sells ,if so is it as good as he says. also taken baffles out and ordered some new wadding ,if i was to cut the pipe down that goes into the expansion chanber (the long one with no holes ) would this improve the noise/performance . thanks dav

Hi Dave,
Allspeed is looking good.
If you want to part with the 12A pipe let me know as I am looking for one with a good centre stand bracket.
Cheers

I think the PJ1 satin is a bit flat looking and the gloss is too shiney for exhausts. The finish on the plasticoat bbq paint is spot on, IMO.

I've never paid more than a fiver for Plastikote BBQ, guess I better get down the shop to see if it has gone up in price. The Range sell's it and also some of the cheep shops now and again like Biology, Whats, etc.

The bbq paint only comes in one finish dude but when its dry you can make it any finish you want, I used T cut then wax polish on mine. This has made them satin/gloss.

the bar b q paint is satin.personally i've not actually seen a satin or matt or gloss variant written on the tin Just get a tin that says bar b q paint with the pic of a bar b on the tin n u should be ok. i think the ebay listing is just the sellers own description
