Ive used a liquid metal on my VFR. It had a blocked fuel breather pipe that ran through the tank. It rusted out and would result in my slowly emptying my tank as I rode with more than half a tank. I could just get my hand in the top opening and rough up around the hole and then cover it with liquid metal. Left it for 2 days, put it back on, filled her up, no probs. Ran it for another 12 months, no leaks. When I sold it I let the new owner know in case they had probs down the track. Try it, prep it, can always solder later. Good luck
