gday again, replaced my kick start rubber today after i made the kick stand all brand new looking, a couple of days ago i tried to get the old rubber off(still in good nik though) and ended up cutting it off, it was that tight , anyway today after trying to put it on ,i didnt stand a chance, so i put a drop of olive oil on it, helped a fraction, then stuck it in the micro wave for a little and that helped a fraction, still no cigar, thought i might ask on here how its done but thought i better not, i didnt want you mob thinking what chance has this twit got if he cant replace a rubber, so i started banging it against the wall but it didnt help either, now for the mechanically challenged like me i went and used wifeys hair dryer and after a few minutes i finally got it on. maybe this could help somebody elcy who hasnt a clue,

Just put a new one on mine and as loctite says soften it in boiling water and I sprayed some silicone lube on it. Noticed that at one end the hole is bigger so put that end on first.

good onya lads , boiling water it is from now on , and a long time ago ,i experienced the handsfree rubber thing, no rubber would be better but we learn to live with these little shortfalls, see ya. regards ken , ps , i gave this a lot of thought and the rubber was stared with the big end, thanks for not taking the piss out of me, its funny how nobody wants to admit to this untill somebody proves we all experience this.
