Thanks for the link. It looks like they used 4LO 0xxxxx for '80, 4L0 1xxxxx for '81 and 4L0 2xxxxx for '82 bikes. Does anyone have higher than 4L0 2044xx ?

Hi Arrow,
Yep, no engine torsion bars, no grease nipple on swinging arm shaft, no drain plugs on forks, 4L0 -00 carbs (but has had mod done) & early calipers. Got 26000mls on the clock which I think its original due to some MOT's ?? In the middle of a total rebuild at the moment.
All the best,
Paul.

Hi Paul, interesting. I found the only photo I've got of my first Lc a few weeks back. And I now got it in digital format, here it is. Still quite new here, note how the discs are not yet bedded in properly. She was registered on 22/04/1982, I was the first owner. I don't recall any oil drain screws on the forks, or torsion bars but if you look closely she has grease nipples on the swing arm shaft. May be they just phased the mods. in gradually according to when they got the 'new' parts or summat' ? Regards, Gary. Attachments:

Good photo Arrow, and in Kenny Roberts as well,.
82 bike should have had torsion bars.
