depending on how serious they deem 48 in a 30 you should get the option to do a speed awarness corse for about £80 and not recieve any points. only down side is you will have to take a day off work and listen to a load of tosh about road safty.

just done speed awareness course i was doing 36 in a thirty everyone on course were less then 38 mph so think there will be a cut off point,,,sorry...i had option of doing on saturday morning which in my eyes is time and an half but better than doing in week and use holiday urrggggghhhhhhhh

my m8 just did one of those.was doin 35 in a 30 And another m8 was caught twice within a week i think and he also did the course I didnt mess about when i got caught a long time back.......21 day ban and £185 fine. oh and just to make it awkward the ban started from midnight the night before and the court wwasnt in my town good luck butchy

most insurance companys dont bump the premimum up alot with 3 points,its 6 and 9 points where u get stung so id be happy if this is your first recent offence

bugger, i know what its like, i got virtually 3 in a row, got me up to 9 points !!! 2 at just over 30 , and one for doing 50 on the A500 ! (50 limit) but apparently there were signs up saying 30 as there were workmen doing maintainance....my arse!, the roads were empty !photographed by a sneaky mobile van, ......this got me 3 points and a 160 fine for the last one..........all driving cars !, no bikes involved!, im a good boy now, got back down to a clean license again
