Been looking all over and know I did find this info once before, but cant find it now... I need to know what the paint codes are for my fully faired Aussie 1985 model as I could be close to getting the panels painted, which would be very cool indeed as the engine is done and i have most of the rest of the gear for it now... In Aus these are listed as the 1GA or 1XH models, but I think the european version is the 57V... ... and I know people will say it, so... yes I have looked at rd350lc.net and whilst it has all the others, sadly it doesnt list mine... This is what it looks like...

yamaha have only used a few whites through the years so my advice is take a pannel down to your local car paint supplier and get them to match it up to there yamaha colour chips. if my memory serves me correct the white will be either yam clean white (125lc colour)or yam silkey white. (f2 colour).
hope this helps

Thanks guys, my problem for a colour match is that the bike has been sprayed rattlecan black by the previous owner, he was very proud of the paint job which included a frame respray in silver... all done while the bike was whole and no masking tape was used... hmm... the old paint is really hard to pin down and some of the panels seem to have coem from other bikes so i dont really know what is the original white, but i can have a go.
Shytalk, do you know that for sure or is that an educated guess?

Hi, as far as I am aware clean white was the non metalic and silky white was the metalic. As said they didn't use many colours. Rs paints has the colours for the uk 85 model as silky white and stormy red. Frame was sunshine red. www.rsbikepaint.comSteve

Yes... but my bike's colourway isnt listed on there, hence my hesitation... Ive asked a few local guys to see if their white is flat or not, that should clinch it. I dont want to make a mistake with the paint, its too expensive to redo if its wrong Cheers again guys!
