Hi,has anyone attempted to make replica fairing panels? I have some scruffy panels,to make molds from. How easy or difficult is it to make my own copies,it would be great to have fresh new panels.

its pretty time consuming and expensive to make a set of moulds (properly)i was a fibreglass pattern maker, mouldmaker and Composite moulder for about 25 years, this site shop has some GRP replica panels for one model, i may try one day for my F2 once the moulds are done, its easy to do Carbon fibre from the same moulds as a hand lay up. could look sweet !

rave, if you fill any small surface holes or bubbles with resin, let it set, and sand down, it will look great with a layer or 2 of laquer, just make sure all that PVA release agent is washed off ! nice job
