I have an allspeed and ramair filter on a rebored 125lc but the main jet in the carb is a std 155 , i can't do a plug chop as the bike needs to be run in before i can give it some so i was thinking of putting the only other main jet i have in , it's number is 240 ,will this be ok for the bike or will it be too big ? i have no idea what order or number the main jets go up in size from std but i know it's better to be rich than lean ... cheer's Paul

you want at least a 190 to start with mate, 240 is way too big. Then just come down in 5's with plug chops until its golden brown Don't run it up too much with that 155 in, its way to lean for an air filter Adam

Norbo does them or you can get them from YAMBITS on ebay, I would buy a 200 or 210 to be safe to start with but I think once you have done chops you will find that around the 190 mark will be ok Still, don't risk it, always, always plug chop other wise disaster is imminent ;D You got a 10w carb then I presume and a later type allspeed? Can we get pics? Adam

Adam I got a carb off ebay that was said to be off a 125lc but it had this large jet in it and the numbers on the body started with t4 so i think it was off a tzr maybe??? i've ordered a 190 off yambits but i'll get a few larger ones aswell as i can't do a plugchop until the bike has been run in , that could take all summer i'll post some pics when i can but she looks really rough at the mo as the bodywork needs a pro paintjob . i'm going to go for a kenny roberts mustard yellow scheme

Just be carful, if you have a 12a carb then you will need around a 220. I have run a 240 before and it ran OK, just a bit crisper with 220.
If you have a 10W carb unrestricted carb then 155 is std. and the main jet size needed will be smaller. This may well be what you have so just make sure you check.

Yes as bertiemollie says epic, because you have a different carb I am unsure of what would be a good starting point I assumed you had a 10w, Please be careful mate, I don't want to have caused you a meltdown. Standard air box is much easier to jet for. Some one will be along soon that can give the best advise, I have a 12a carb you could buy if needs be. Adam

can't you lot read or something lol I have a 12 a carb with the std jet that comes with it, ie the 155 but i presume i have to up-jet to accomadate the airfilter and the allspeed, i thought i might have to account for the rebore aswell but wasn't sure. The last thing i want is to run lean after spending close to 300 quid on the rebuild ...
i'm getting confused now , lol

Adjust the pump cable with the adjuster that screws into the clutch cover. The more tension you put into the cable the more oil gets pumped in. Get yourself a genuine manual mate, it will tell you everything you ever need to know Adam
