The footrest hanger mounts on the frame is bent inwards so the aluminum hangers are quite close to th swinger. There's even an old wear mark on the left side so obviously it needs to be bent out a tad. But, I need to know how much gap there shall be between the aluminum hanger and the swinger. PS: I know it's impossible to say exactly how much gap there shall be down to the last millimeter, (these bikes probably came out a differently from factory anyways) but maybe we can come up with a reasonable approximation.

Thank's mate. I suspected they should be straight but who knows lol.. The gap/s are way smaller then an inch anyway, it's more like.... almost touching the swinger. ;D

il measure mine mate from the ends of the hangers as mine is built on a NOS frame so i know it aint been dropped...but clearance is about an inch ish from peg rear mount hole to swinger. A daft question maybe but did you measure at the upper or lower swinger tube?

Thank's again. I made a stupid mistake yesteday, I thought I could carefully bend the thing back by simply pulling the aluminum part out. Well........ it didn't work. As I pulled, I suddently heard a pinging sound. WTF was that?? Oh nooo the bloody footrest hanger cracked! Luckily it was a spare one and not a mint one, still sucks though. I managed to bend the frame mount out a bit though so at least the bolt for the rear footpeg isn't as close to the swinger anymore. Guess it'll have to do.
