Well.....I picked up my new lickle runaround tonight.....A Honda MBX 125 FE Before you say anything.......I know....its a Honda Well..............seeing as alot of you guys have the RD125 , I like to be different , it'll never be as fast as the 125LC but it is nicely finished off and a piece of piss to tune , bits are hard to come by....but being a Honda it will need very few. Poor thing has been cosmetically neglected over the last 23 years , but that can be easily sorted now. I rode it the 67 miles home with no major faults...it pulls well up the 1 in 6 hills. I plan to keep this one original looking....but it does need tuning .....I might doctor the pipe a bit , I'll post some piccies soon..........but in the meantime , this is what it will look like.

Mate of mine had an MBX 80 years ago. I wouldnt knock them on the speed stakes as he kept up with me on a RD125LC. I dont know wether his was tuned or not. Nice bike youve got there and they are prity rare.

Mine has a red bellypan. The whole bodywork would benefit from respray. They were never as fast as the 125 LC's........top speed was around 75mph , but they are much better in the reliability stakes than the LC. Mine is still on standard original piston and bore !......done well to last 49,000 miles without needing so much as a piston ring

Yeah it was fun riding it home......over the North Yorkshire moors........not literally Its a dinky little machine , but goes well...........not brilliant condition , but well worth the money I paid for it , plus theyre alot rarer than the LC equivalent , a bit of novelty factor. It'll be a great Heirloom for the Donklet when he's older.....it'll be 40 years old when he's old enough to ride it

They'll never be allowed to get away with banning bikes , theyre kinder to the environment than any car......including the new hybrids like the Toyota Prius

To be honest......really busy cities need something like that to keep congestion down , but discount should be given to vehicles with multiple occupants................that'll stop BMW man clogging up the roads with his 12mpg M3 Sport

They should ban 4x4's too.......unless your job demands the neccesity for one......i.e farmers or vets Mrs.Smith of Surbiton doesnt NEED a 5 litre Range Rover to take young Buttplug to school , city cars should be limited to a maximum of a 2.0 litre engine. Oh heck !...........that'll stir up a Hornets nest

I had one of them years back a nice bike but was not as nice as my MK2 LC . Silly that the 80 had twin disks and built in indicators and the 125 did not.

Mine has built-in indicators , and the front caliper is a brembo....so maybe no need for 2 discs.......it stops really well

Well....unfortunately I dont have as much time or money to spend on projects as Mellow ;D , so this lil' lady has been put on ebay for spares Some parts are just too hard to find....some impossible......some too bloody expensive , plus I need the room to finish my LC (Which takes priority) So this is now a "dead-thread" If any of you out there have one of these and need spares....let me know
