i'm sure i read a thread about which sealant to use on the two crankcase halves, i've been looking but i can't find it!!! any how is blue hylomar ok? i know you can't use silicon as its too thick and your crankcases don't mate properly! what's anyone else used?? and which is best?? ta, russ. ;D ;D

ICI high temp sealant available from most shops like b and q.... (designed for fitting cooker hobs... tested to 300 deg c
hylomar is good but what they dont tell you is you will need to re do it after 12 mnths cos it rots like a gud un, prob cos its over hydrolysed

YamaBond is the prefered stuff ..Dealer sells it.. Slightly Cheaper is Threebond.

tiny bead of blue hylomar i used shouldnt matter if it "rots" coz there shouldnt b a huge cavern to fill. if u choose to use yammabond good luck findin sum from a uk dealer and i believe its about £40

Unbelievable.. you guys on that Island are Overcharged on everything.. Yamabond is like $10 Mail order Threebond then Google it.

where u from then m8? when i was doin mine i asked the main yam dealer for it and they wanted the part number for it they should know that the only place i could find it was sumwhere abroad at about £40
