I've been led to beilieve that the Stock RZ reed assemblies are "fine' up to and including fitting TM 28mm Flatslide carbs .. a far more satisfying use of yr hard earned $$ than V force reeds at mid levels of tune.

Well , Bare , i cant agry with you on this point . Using TM 28 ( kr1...) is a good option but , for road use , and in my opinion , the best solution is to keep oil pump , thing that isnt possible on some kr1 carbs ( for example ) or , have to work on them to manage oil admission on the carb and in this way , we are far from the easy modification that vforce reeds propose . Regarding the price , I'm notable to tell you cause down here , prices for 2strokes arent the same ... If Guiri mate knows how and got time , the tzr or tdr reeds boxes can be fit on ypvs .

Drilling an 1/8" hole into the sides of a pair of TM's and inserting a bit of brass tubing is not overly skilled/demanding work :-) Stock RZ reed assemblies are not a bottleneck unitill aggresive portings and TM 34 carbs.. and even then, the V force things are not nearly as popular as those who sell them would have us believe :-) A reed assembly from several Yamaha Sno mobiles are at least as good as V forces for almost no $ when bought used.. Hunt thru Ebay :-) Also set of Banshee OEM fiberglass reeds makes for an inexpensive alternate.
