Hi Chris
when your crank twists its always the oil pump side that goes. the flywheel side will always stay correct in terms of ignition timing. What hapens regardless of the type of plug used is the right cylinders timings out and the piston is in the wrong place when the plugs fire. on one of your photos you had a big dip in the piston and your crank bearings are shot you dont normally get a massive faliure like that with faulty plugs at worst the piston will hole.
hope you get it on the road again soon

Hi chris
just seen the bit about the blast cabinet, they come up realy well but be prepared to spend a long time cleaning the cases out the glass gets everywhere. Took me hours and Im still going to flush the engine out when its built

bit of a set back on the blast cabinet!! the compressor was 110v but he didn't have a transformer anymore, I did but only a small 1 after about 5 mins it blows the fuses on the transformer. Need a bigger one

No you dont just take the fuse out and bung a bolt in It might catch fire though Disclaimer Dont take any of Holigans electrical advise seriously if you do it will all end in tears
