Thought in the spirit of the site people might wonna see what I've been working on and trying to finish . I bought this LC a few months ago as it was much of what I would've built from scratch, was the colours mine was when I was 18 and had a few rare items that would've been very hard to find. It's going to be a regular rider (all weathers), so isn't any kind of minter or show bike. It's RGV250 VJ21 front and rears with the swingarm modified with upper tubing and up the right way forks to hopefully look bit like original to the untrained eye ? It was at Gibson's (thanks Tony ) for a whole day a few weeks ago to have one-off small can Allspeeds made on the bike that don't foul the side stand or swinger and fit correctly on the slightly lower cylinders as it's a Stan Stephens 375cc lump. Thought it was gonna be a fair bit of work but MY GOD, I think it would've taken far less time to build it from scratch . Main problem has been that everything that isn't right or not to my liking has needed taking apart then rebuilding, so seems to take twice as long ;D Things like finding swingarm bearings absolutely munched when I removed the swingarm for powder coating and removing the front calipers to find wrecked pistons and 2 different types of pad at completely different wear levels in each of the front calipers . Who would put calipers like that on a bike unless they had a deathwish ? , Oh and carbs with needle valves that look like they've been in there 30 years, slides in back to front and float bowls on the wrong carbs. Anyway, you get the picture . Never mind, I'll get it finished at some point ;D Here's a needle valve that came out Swingarm and bits freshly back from coaters (cheers Mr Nikfubar) Nice RD125LC Shock fitted Pattern Horns (Thanks Norbs) that I spent ages with a craft brush painting the rivets black ;D. Haven't worked out for sure how to get the twin horns onto the RGV front Yoke yet but have a good idea. HRC Rear Master Cylinder Nice original (with tab) Gilly ;D And a few as it's going back together

That's looking spot on mate. I've got a HRC brake pipe on one of my other bikes; have you had any problems with it building up condesation on the outside of the pipe? Mine keeps getting little droplets on it, it is stored in a cold, wet shed though.

Yeah I read somewhere about that happening to some people but like you said, I think it's where they are in cold damp environments ?. Mine's in a heated garage and it's been fine so far.

That's not condensation that these suffer from it's hydraulic fluid coming through the plastic pipe it happens if you use dot 5.1 instead of dot 4. Had this happen on mine, that dot 5.1 is crap it will bleed through or destroy most types of rubber or plastic, it can also destroy the caliper seals, found this out from a company that specialize in hydraulic hoses. Bikes looking well smart Looey

HRC Rear Master Cylinder Bike's looking great so far. Where did you get the fluid inlet (black plastic hose joint) for the master cylinder, did it come as part of the HRC Reservoir kit? Where'd you buy it? Cheers, Steve.

NK racing sold me the plastic joint It is off a Honda and has a smaller diamater for the hose Might be worth dropping him an email Super, is the tube part straight like that one? That's the only part I need so will be handy to get seperately. I'll give NK a call, cheers bud.

Hi mate, As far as I'm aware it's the std VJ21 rear master cylinder elbow outlet. If you search on evil-bay for RGV250 rear master cylinders you'll see em

Hi mate, As far as I'm aware it's the std VJ21 rear master cylinder elbow outlet. If you search on evil-bay for RGV250 rear master cylinders you'll see em I have an RGV rear master cylinder and it's not the same. The one on your bike is a YPVS cylinder. The problem I have is the elbow on the plastic union I have is angled towards the top brace of the swingarm giving me a clearance problem, whereas yours is straight and would be perfect for what I need. ;D

Yeah sorry, I should've been clearer, I was saying that I thought the plastic elbow outlet was from the RGV. I bought the HRC reservoir kit for £15 without the elbow etc. and just fitted it stright on..... I'll go and take it off for ya................NOT ;D

Hi winnerevo1, got the same problem with my rebuild, a straight union would sort the job. If you manage to source one let me know and i'll do the same for you - cheers Paulo.

You can just see the elbow in this pic That looks like it isn't angled like the original so should do the job. Cheers.
