Well, all done, apart from final jetting. just fitted sv650 shocker also redone the top end as it was knocking, it turned out to be worn powervalves. it has a mild tune, skimmed head, pwk28 carbs, ignition +2. took it round the block this morning several times to set it up and would only run well with no air box lid nor filter, set up is 38 pilots, 148 mains and needle on the middle clip, is this normal? any advice on the jetting would be greatfully welcomed. jessy

I hardly ever post comments on any of the forums, but I've got to say that in my humble opinion, that is the best looking LC that I have ever seen. I know that are many with the same front and rear ends etc , but there is something about that bike, perhaps the colour scheme, perhaps the exhausts or perhaps its the white gully seat, I have to say once again in my own humble opinion that it all comes together perfectly and that makes me want to have one just like it. Well done sir.

Thanks for the kind words, yes I'm very happy with it now, I had a few sleepless nights on the way though. Gibsons done the exhausts and few other bits, bit of a long wait though. yes Nigel it will never be finished I'll always be tinkering with it and you're welcome to put it in the gallery if you thinks it's worthy. Thanks Jessy

Just to add to all comments so far, im a standard man all the way olive drab and all that stuff, but if i had a custom type this would be the one... I like the way youve kept standard indicators/rad cover with all the aftermarket stuff aswell.... great bike love it.

Scott, the sv650 shock is about 25mm longer than the std lc, you need to drill out the lower mount to 12m and the top is 10mm so you need a spacer10-12mm, I was lucky and found a spacer at work, then it just bolts in. you can pick them up cheap off ebay nearly new ones. Jessy

I think you need to up jet the PWK28s. I run basically the same set up except with foam pod filters and I'm using 42 pilot 160 main JJH needles on middle clip, air screw 1&1/4 turns out. When I was running 150 main it had no top end & was nearly seizing from running too lean. Cool hybrid credit to ya

Dear Jessy, Nice bike you have there! I'm currently trying to finish my own LC / RGV banana conversion. Can you tell me what ride height you have used for the back side? See also my own topic. Further I see you are using a Tyga rear set?: Can you tell me the exact setup/specs? Thanks in advance Marcel, the Netherlands

real nice bike m8,top job . i heard about the sv shock for an lc,is it a direct replacment, same length and fixing hole sizes? Been there done that with the SV650 shocker. It CAN be drilled out to exactly match the OEM LC length. Bigger problem is that the spring is of a higher rate than the LC one (no real surprise the sv is a much heavier machine) BUT.. the Cheap Ass Chinese (yes!!) Shock hydraulics are even weaker/ shittier than the tired ones in my collection of 30 yr old LC shocks. In english a Crap upgrade ONLY redeeming feature is these are almost Free on Ebay as SV owners can't get rid of them fast enouigh. Now i know exactly why A complete Waste of Effort ... in my direct experience... the LC's handling becomes Much worse. MY Valvie engine using stock airbox/filter though.(But little else is stock :-) on PWKs'; uses 40 Air jets and 130 Mains , on additional 1.5% Premix and is Running Rich.. proven by plug chops. Can't imagine needing yet More fueling.. barring a faulty setup.
