hey wilko, thanks, cant take credit, i knicked the idea from Robs 350 ypvs in the previous pics, ill get around to doing the clutch cover one day, but as this PV cover is not sealed, thought this would be easy, i used std 3mm perspex, and hey. we all need a good zeus book !, used to use it a lot at my last aircraft engineering job, find it handy at home now for ods and sods !

had a B@$t#*d job getting the rear brake disc off the rear wheel, this has had penetrating fluids off and on for over a year, and i have tried impact drivers, oxy acetyline heat etc etc,......nothing......so had to resort to TIG welding some nuts to the disc bolts, and using a T bar, this has just about shifted the.........HURRRAY!.......now onto the exhausts

got to do some work on the exhausts, have decided against making my own full system from scratch, as the f2 exhausts are looking pretty good, some rot on the down pipes, so i have cut these off and will graft in some new bent pipes, then i have sawn off the cans, this will enable me to weld on some flanges to bolt on some nice cans, (old ones were a bit knocked about

nice job m8 The disc bolts are a b*****d coz they probably used loctite to fit them and the steel bolt and alloy reacts but i bet u knew that

had some pipes bent up to replace the pitted downpipes, just need to get into a workshop and get some heat on them for a few final tweeks to make them fit

does anyone have these two items as spares, mine have been wrecked trying to extract the bleed nipples, i drilled out the centres and used a stud extractor, (breaking one stud extractor in the process) and they wont budge, i have heated them, cooled them, had them in soak in penetrating oil etc....nothing, ...and when i tried to remove them, the alloy split around the nipple :-( for info, they are of an F2, and i have the other halves......please drop me a line if anyone out there has spares, !..

had a few hours free to do some work on the carbs, i was going to aqua blas them, but didnt have the inclination to sen d them away and wait, so i glass bead blasted them myself, aftyer some vary careful masking and sealing, (there is nothing inside the cases, they were stripped of all parts internally) before masked ready ! fuel resistant laquer (handy, cuz apparently there is fuel in these things !) and in place with a few blingy bits fitted im quite happy with the results, and it saved a few quid on the aqua blasting,

cheers mellow, i have to try hard cuz some of the work on this forum puts my work to shame, i have a lot to aspire to! but as ever, im enjoying it all ,and the advice and feedback from others is an inspiration to me all i need for the engine is the castle seals for the PV, then it should be ready for a proper build up and all the fluids.
