had a great weekend at stafford county show ground, approx £200 spent on bits and bobs for the rebuild, seat £20, to go with my newly plated seat clips, just needs a recover, but i have big plans for this.......watch this space !! gasket set, and oil seal set loads of stainless nuts and bolts about £30 quids worth rear brake slave cylinder seal kit ,exhaust stud set, rear light and some tools and assorted bits tried to find a few rd's being broken, but not too much around as it was the brit classic show...
i did see a fair rd 125 for £ 795 and a cracking AR 125 for £750 with MOT....MMmmmmm tempting. ill be sure to post some pics this week of progress

a few more bits of bling........£20 for more than twice what is shown here ! before..... after.... i quite fancy the look of a seat like this to go with my Kenny roberts rep colours, marked out for rough pattern, im thinking of smooth vinyl outer, textured vinyl patches with yellow beading all round. or this is quite cool and simple,

an afternoon off work, so............. a bit of shot blasting, roloc the paint off..... re silver solder any dodgy looking joints and seams with the oxy-acelylene cut hole in tank to drain out the rust eater and gravel (exfoliator) :-) silver solder a patch over the hole another shot blast and roloc and then prime with Zinc primer. and a little tin solder plate on the inner petrol recess.(as a rust prevention) all ready to check over for fine dents and scratches to fill...... and primed ready for action

it was still wet :-) i just have to seal it on the inside now to cover all the crud that the rust remover didnt shift.
p.s. anyone know where i can get a set of 4 carbs from a GPX 600r, mine seem to let too much fuel through to the engine, and it runs like crap, cant be bothered to replace bit by bit to check the fault, just want a straight swap.and get running.

Uttoxeter classic bike show last weekend, great weather,ad some nice bikes, a couple of nice finds in the autojumble, F2 tank cap with key £10, looks nice after a clean up and refurb, the pic below shows the repaint, just need to apply the petrol resistant laquer later, Before: and also found a front master cylinder that looked like it got thrown down the road, with an excellent rubber diaphram and recent piston seal kit in it for £2, that saved a few quid this and a few stainless nuts and bolts and a 30th anniversary 350 lc t shirt, job done ! also saw this piece of art !
