Just taken the time to read through your incredibly patient rebuild. It is very refreshing to see the time, patience and of course skill in all of the work. It's sometimes so easy, though more expensive to just buy cleaner newer stuff and farm out alot of the jobs. I have a lovely F2 which I've spent alot of time and money on over the years but this one will be absolutely stunning. Thanks for taking the time to share all the progress. Cheers Nick.

Cheers guys.Alas I have done nothing on this for just over a year mainly due to work commitments, but I'm on it again. Just had wheels and a few other bits powdercoated and had a batch of parts for Christmas. So I'm hoping to get it up a running for summer or the end of at worst. So expect a few updates soon as I have been in the garage a lot lately. All I need to complete is a new loom and 2 tyres and a few tiny bits (few nuts and bolts) so here's to 2015!

For god sake don't show this to the missus ;-) To think, I guessed at around 600 -800 quid spend when I first started , and I have hit nearly 2k already spent with about £400 left to spend to complete.

The stickers look spot on, I bet you will also get a yellow rim like effect when riding the bike. Never seen so much attention to detail and patience.
Push now it's almost done.

PS,If anyone knows where I can get hold of a new barrel and key for a seat lock (F2) used will be fine if I can't get new. I have refurbished the rest of the unit.

Further progress includes 2 tyres being collected in the morning and I have drawn the bespoke spacers to make my non std rear shock fit. These should be machined in about a week as soon as time allows........ Its funny, nothing for just over a year and now I can't get it out of my head to complete.

So I have done a couple of bespoke spacers with o rings to help hold my rear shock. Turned in stainless, they fit like a glove

I'm hoping so kostas. I'm looking to complete in September and getting it into a local classic bike show in October , and some late summer ride outs.

Get on with it then.. Those bikes are fun to work on but having a nice ride out is 10 times the fun!
