hi ive got a mk1 rd125lc 1983 does anyone no what couid be wrong with it my nutrol and oil light dont work ive checked the bulbs and they seem ok and also ive put a new battery in because the old one keeps going flat ive put a volt meter on it and it seems that its draining power when the lights are on any advise cheers graham

you could try and disconnecting the wire from the nuetral switch as if i remember correctly if that is faulty niether light will work. failing that pm gary rd robbo as he knows more about these small LC's than most

The oil light is on when the neutral light is on, but also when it is in gear, and the oil level is low!
The switch for the neutral light is behind the left hand side panel, there may be a fault there!

If you earth the wire that goes to the switch under the left hand side casing and the lights come on you know it's the swtich and not a wiring fault between the clocks and the switch!
Really stupid question, but have you checked the bulbs? If the bike has been run without the battery in the bulbs may have had too much power going to them and gone pop!

thanks for the advise it ive found out what the problem was thee wire under thee left casing was not connected lol thanks for all your help
