Thought I'd say hello. I've been waiting patiently for Alek's forum to come back up to scratch but it's beginning to look doubtful I really wasn't aware that Norbo had a forum, and it looks pretty active. This is my pride and joy, but I've got a few other projects ticking over in the background

Thanks for all your comments on my bike. I bought the bike in Austria in '99, as a non-runner. I know this means it's not a "proper LC" (UK bike), in some peoples eyes , but to me an LC is an LC She'd was crashed in 1986 and had been lying unloved underpile of crap in the corner of a bike dealers shed ever since No big damage, just gravel rash and the usual badly dented tank from the indicators, but for some reason, there's not the same enthusiasm for restoring old 2-strokes over there so the bike had just lay there. As you can see, she was definitely worth rescuing

The fact that you did it your self is credit to you !! . I dont think any one is realy bothered about were a bike came from on hear so long as its a 2 stroke its all good and so long as that 2 stroke is a RD all the better. How long did the rebuild take.

I restored it in my spare time, so it took about 14 months from start to finish. my job doesn't give me much time at home but she came apart completely right down to the last nut & bolt, and anything she needed she got. Luckily I had a good collection of New or very good 2nd hand parts that I'd gathered up over the years with the intention of rebuilding an LC. I wish the same could be said for my current project, an RZV500R, parts for those beauties are crazy But I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end

Thanks again for your kind comments on my 350. I'll have to see what can be done with the RZV500R now. She's been sitting in the garage gathering dust for 2 years while I've been gathering bits and pieces for her. Things just seem to get busier the older you get, I foolishly thought it would be calmer So I hope this year should level out a bit and maybe I can get started with her. I'll post some pics when I get started to her
