Guys,
What are the differences between a 4L0 and a 4L1 bottom end. I have one of each and was looking to swap some parts over to get the 4L0 running. In particular the crank from my 4L1 is pretty fresh, while the 4L0 has been welded and needs checking out.
I know the oil pump is different but is it possible to straight swop 4L1 internals, gears, clutch etc into the 4L0 crankcase ?
Cheers
Fraser

from what i have learned over the last few months is that they are the same apart from the oil pump. crank, gearbox, clutch all the same. different top end, carbs and little ends apparently.

Thanks guys, I suspected that they were the same but had heard tales of 250 cranks letting go because they were fitted with 350 barrels.
mmm...urban myth...
On with the rebuilds
