Hi, bit of an update, lost some pics in the recent crash. Progress slow but got a set of mint microns from lcowner, finally got them fitted. Had to make rear brackets as they were from an LC and had to bend out the frame brackets to make them clear the swing arm. Think I now have all parts to finish, bodywork all painted and ready so should make good progress now. Sold a load of LC2 bits I had lying around to fund the rest. Will eventually fit NK cans once I've made stingers for them but got loads to do before that.

Funny thing is if you look at the before photo you can see the NOS head that was on it. Whoops. Steve.

that looks well nice! what colours are you going with it? looks like it had a hard life on the before photo ;D Very hard life, 64000 miles, one owner though, used for commuting. Strange thing was that although it looked awful all the service parts were perfect and motor was rebuilt. Paintwork done in red and white 3 block over black as an N2 should be. Decals from Norbo - cheers. Got carbs and oil lines on now, switchgear painted yesterday and doing decals right now. Steve.

Few more bits done, switchgear finished. Made up clocks ( getting good at that ) used TZR clocks with 150mph speedo, top cover p/coated and R clock loom fitted. Also got rad on and plumbed up. Next job is to get the electrics on and fit the fuel tap repair kit and see if it runs. Steve.

Back tracked a bit, although the microns looked good I have decided to go the full hog with the wolf in sheeps clothing. Just got a set of kenny's "abbey" race pipes, need to chonge the side stand to a spring on the outside for clearance, will put up pic once done and cans on. Will need to save dosh for an open CDI from Norbo so it will rev higher (pipes peak at 10500) and eventually will get an abbey tune on my spare barrells as well as the head reprofiled/skimmed and o ringed. Steve.

Got a few jobs done, moved side stand spring to outside for better clearance with the fat pipes. And finally finished rebuilding the brakes, all calipers stripped and acid dipped, then painted in PJ1 and baked in the oven. New seals and all bolts. Got a renthal sprocket, just waiting for the carrier bearing so I can fit the back wheel, caliper and brake arm before getting the pipes on. Steve

Electric gremlins now all sorted, new fuse box fitted, 4 new indicators and a new tail light lens. Fitted the brake caliper and torque arm as well as fitting new sprocket and carrier bearing. Had some trouble fitting the pipes, left one fine as I had moved the side stand spring but RH one fouling. Knew you could not have a centre stand with them but they fouled where the bottom bolt on the NK kit fitted so had to "modify" rear of pipe with a ball hammer only to find the brake torque arm fouled too so rubber mallet time. They sound absolutely awesome, lovely ring-ting. Suppose I better get some brakes working next. Steve.

Finally got the brakes on and working, nightmare bleeding them. Rad guard fitted including the rare rad hose cover and LH corner. Switgear all done and N1 Clutch lever and clamp, master cylinder and resouvoir from an Suzuki SV, exact same Nssin as RGV but without the price tag. Also finished electrics, new fuse box fitted and the old 4CE Cdi replaced with an unrestricted Zeel cdi from norbo. Really just need to get the bodywork on and see how it goes, pity the weather is crap and they have already gritted the roads up here. Steve

Very nice Where are the zeels on Norbos site, cant find them Cheers, Zeels are in the YPVS section in the trick bits page. The cdi I have is not on there, they were made for norbo pre programmed with a decent map so you don't need all theother bits or the set up hassles. Steve

Very nice indeed, good neat fitting of the parts make it look factory etc.
I thought that Kenny's exhausts could be fitted with the centre stand in place, maybe i misread that but i was sure of it... hmm...

Thanks for the comments guys, really pleased with it myself. You got me wondering about the stand now, can't fit one anway cause of the NK swingarm kit but you might be right. The stand bolts are slimmer than the M10 not and bolt but they have no stand stop on them for the bung but may well sit fine against the pipe. mmmm, got me thinking now, other hybrid has centre stand which is why I never got a set for it, and a tuned motor. Sorry to give you cause for doubt... maybe drop Kenny an email but im sure i read it would fit. I planned to fit one on my 57V with the same pipes if i can make it fit. Tho i may have to move the spring as you did (can you detail how you did that by the way?)
I will also want to fit a center stand to my LC with pipes so that may get interesting depending on which engine goes in there and which pipes... hmm...
