Ive not got it yet ,the guy ive bought it from has removed all the emissions stuff ,it has a 160mph speedo in the pictures,its in Bristol so I haven’t seen it in the flesh

US GPZ's usually have the same 160mph speedo but have an additional "55" in red

Some of the later stuff like FZR's have the speedo going 5, 15, 25, 35 etc with the 55 bold in red instead of the usual 10, 20, 30

That's lovely and a proper 80's missile.  My EXUP still amazes me as to just how damn good it is and the motor with the 5 speed box is wonderful..

That’s a great looking bike.
I mildly modified my GPz900R and it’s a great bike to ride. Easily capable of keeping up with traffic. Its actually my ‘go to’ bike for any distance trips.
Unbelievable that it turned 40 last month.

My mate had one back in the day ,i had my lc2 we swapped bikes for a run and i crapped myself couldn’t believe how fast it was only the gpz900 could beat it at that time, always wanted one since then

My mate with the 1100 had a turbo as well but for some reason he decided to get it painted yellow ! Looked like a bumblebee 🐝

My Turbo was painted black and yellow when I got it...it has an 810 big bore kit.

Mine was non standard colour for a turbo. Was a late UK bike but in the non UK black with red/silver

Iconic looking bikes, don't know why they are still quite reasonably priced

Think you are correct. It's the golden rule of find one as complete as possible

Yours like it will be near enough all there, does it still have the injection? Mine was trouble free other than it shutting down sometimes for a few seconds if the boost got too high. You could cut the wire but then it wasn't protected if the waste gate stuck shut

Yes it still has the injection ,the fuel cap lock is goosed im sure i can get a lock?
It’s getting delivered on Thursday/Friday

Just in time my lc is started to whine when hot, i drove 30 miles at motorway speed 70-80 when i stopped at the lights the engine was whining at idle and got louder when reved ,i nursed it home but then no noise but the clutch casing was very hot, I thought it was noisy the time before that so its getting stripped luckily i have a full set of gears a bearings in my stash.

Had the 750 version painted like a turbo (was all I could afford at 18). First proper big bike, great bikes enjoy it.

Just servicing it just now ,needs tyres as well as they are cracked which is a pain as I only want to run it for the summer

Got the tank in at Cupar bike paints to get the por 15 sealer removed! Someone just poured it over the rust and its all coming off the tank has no signs of leaks on the outside so if it doesn’t leak I won’t put a sealer in it until it gets painted

I had an 1100 unitrak years ago.

Loved it so much looked at buying another one recently.

A bit out of my affordability. So bought a nice Gpz900r A7 instead for a good price. Cleaning the carbs out atm. Hope it lives up to my old 1100 🤞
