Excellent news Bill So glad you have found Solly as I'm sure Solly is over the moon to have found you He looks very much like my older Springer, Indie, colouring wise. As you probably know, Springers can be a bit timid anyway, but if he's had a hard time, probably more so. But they are intelligent, so wont take him long to find his feet (paws !) Enjoy

I’m really chuffed for you Bill, and glad you decided on choosing another furry Pal 😃. They bring life to your surroundings, it’s just a house without them, but a home with.
He’ll have a great life with you & family, and I hope he brings you great joy for many years to come.
Good on ya mate! 😊.
Iain.

One week in and he is doing well. In fact he is doing far better than ever imagined. We can let him off the lead and he comes back the second you call him. He has been walked for miles, interspersed with swims and is loving his new life. Still a bit under weight but we will get that up. Took him to a pub with us on Sunday and he lay under the table, never made a sound while we ate. Whenever we got up in a morning, or came in after work, he had a habit of pickling (not sure if its excitement or fear, or both) but we got him out of it happening when we came in and this morning when I got up at 5:20am he didn’t do a thing so I think he’s got over that too. Initially, all he wanted to do was play ball, but now he wants affection and gives it in return which makes me think he is now happy and not scared all the time.

Im sure you know that youve made the right decision for you and Solly. I like the comment about FSH 😁 It will take a bit of time for them to completely trust you but as said, its a lovely end to a really sad start 🐕
