Brilliant read. So 'grown up' and factual compared to most of the rubbish put out these days. We seems to have gone backwards in the last 50 years. Talking of going backwards, I'd rather have a H2 than anything new in the showrooms now.

I was out on the VFR800 on Saturday up around Wetwang, Seaways, Sledmere and Bridlington. Spent a bit of time riding behind a couple of H2's. On the way home I came across another H2 at the side of the road. Talking to the guy he said it had just nipped up on him. Don't see one for ages then I see a trio of the big triples in one afternoon.

But then again, I would take another project on in a heartbeat. There is something truly demonic and unforgettable about the sound.

I loved the sound of my KH500. They have a quite distinctive whine from the gearbox.Theres a lot more going on than an LC. The seized one had Lectron carbs, reed valves and Mick Abbey pipes. I said I would follow him and check that it was still running ok. I had to let a long line of cars go before setting off and never saw him again so have to presume it was ok. Shame for him as it had just had a crank and pistons. Hope it wasn't too badly damaged. One of the other H2 riders owns my old KH so maybe for enough £££ I could have it back? Maybe not he must have had it 30 years or more. He has one of every Kawasaki triple if not more than one.
