Ps no marcos a less attractive less reliable Tvr what am I a sadist? 😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣 Hmm I've only ever had one failure with my Marcos. The soft top decided to release itself at around 220 kmph on the back straight of the Nurburg ring. I've driven it as far as Malmo in Sweden and down to Malaga via Andorra and numerous races at the Nurberg ring.(drive to race and back) I think most people forget such vehicles need constant maintenance or checks just like the two strokes we own. Both are reliable because of this.

Tony couple of points You have the words ‘engineer’ in your title you love this shit, whereas I talk bollocks (literally) for a living You are far more engaged in constant maintenance than I am, whereas I go ffs not another thing Anyone running a lwb 109/110 proves my point you are clearly a sadist 👍 My family car is a tall limousine.

Why are people talking 2cv’s ? I’m buying two more horses 😁 I’m not replacing it, I love my bikes and I enjoy my cars, I’ll keep using my car or the family car.

The second best day of my 4 wheeled motoring life was the day some 2 1/2 years ago when I bought my Tvr. It was surpassed today. I finally sold the feckin thing. After 8000 miles and over £14k being spent/wasted on it, it’s gone hallelujah. A mate said exactly the same about his MV F4. He couldn't believe how folks on the MV Forum thought returning your brand new bike to the Dealer on a monthly basis was acceptable. The fact it was FOC seemed to be good enough for most owners. He got banned from the Forum for posting photos of it being pushed into a van with a word bubble saying "Best day of owning it, good f*ckin' riddance"

His dad has a house north of Inverness he was going to head up that way in the next few days? Oh and Inverness you lucky git, keep trying to persuade the wife to move that way, I love it her (Scot’s parents) no feckin way. Done a few days work in Elgin love it. She wants heat and sunlight I want no feckin neighbours, drizzle and midges 😁 the weather in Inverness is better than most people from the south commonly think.. and the Moray coast in summer is well worth a visit although i'd avoid the peak tourist times to run round the NC500, which i'v done (missed out the Applecross part) in a day.. as there are too many campervans and supercars... even in january, although not this year, we have blue cloudless sky which means you have to break out the sunglasses and thermals... marti

Inverness. Loved it. We rented a house on a hill (more like a small mountain, deffo need a 4x4 in winter) overlooking the Loch. Fantastic roads, would loved to have had a rental bike and not a Vauxhall Omega. Great people, great food. Only beer on tap was Carlsberg and as one barman told me 'well...it's cheap'. Went in August and no midges. As I've mentioned before avoid the Charles dickens restaurant. No lighting. I kid you not. You get a candle on the table to read the menu and you can't. We decided to vacate before ordering... Alex ps Marcos next time you come up, i'll point you towards a local bike hire place marti

Thanks for the kind words Tim. I never made engineer as I didn't do enough night school. Normally it's the engineers that back me up with technical info.
