The MTX50s we got in Holland were the same restricted power AC engine the MT50/MB50/MT5/MB5 had and not the watercooled version this MTX-R and other markets got sadly. This meant the NL version of the MTX50 that i rode was sloooow... the MTX was a much larger and heavier thing than the far slimer and lighter MT5, at 100kg vs 90kg.

I have restored (and modded) a good few MTs and MB over the years and sold em on... before they were cool sadly... {wait for it...} cue someone saying they arent cool even now lol (they command silly money like all old bikes do now)

One of the MT5 was used at the BMF for the moped madness tuned a lot. When I got on it for the first time I kept wheeling it I thought what the heck is this π€£ It was very loud too π

Thats very pretty and not quite as exy as I imagined, but still a lot for a bike you wont ride much as a lardy older bloke. lol You might remember one I did was H100 engined and supermoto. The weird thing about the one listed is that it looks like its got an OEM MT5 restricted exhaust on it. hmm... the H100 isnt going to release all its 11bhp with that fitted. I made up an exhaust from a cut down RM125 for mine, was loud and very quick for what it was.

One of the MT5 was used at the BMF for the moped madness tuned a lot. When I got on it for the first time I kept wheeling it I thought what the heck is this π€£ It was very loud too π Yes totally... and wheelies! lol The MB is much the same at the MT, just a more 'sporty' riding position, but still pretty comfy as a teen. These are thin bikes and its quite a flat thing, like riding a bit of 2by4 lol... Ok, thats unkind, but gives you the idea as its not very wide and its very light etc. We used to tune these as 16/17year olds with 'fast 50' (full power 50cc like other markets got and we didnt) and 70cc aftermarket cylinders which were cheap as chips. you could get OEM 80cc cyls and even big aftermarkets like 90cc and i did see a 110cc etc. Many many exhausts and carbs as well... tho no uprated oil pumps lol My 70cc used to cruise along fine at 110kmh (70mph) - cop verified, sigh - all day long when out of the city, with more if i wanted. For a light bike they were good for learners; I learnt to ride, crash, repair and mod at a young age. no complaints. In the UK along with an H100 swap, there were Autissa (and maybe others?) big bore kits and I fitted one to the MB5 i had. with a few mods including the 'right' carb and an Allspeed it would power wheelie when in a normal riding position if you wanted. It was a fun bike and at least the MB had a disk front brake, unlike the twin drum MT lol. My old MB has changed hands a few times and Ive been contacted over the years about it, its still going. The H100 Supermoto MT Ive never seen, perhaps its been restored to a normal MT5 again which would be a shame. Ahh happy teenage days. All my mates had TS ERs, DTs and the hondas along with random stuff like Kreidler, Peugeot, Tomos etc etc. All with mods. Some were silly fast. The Dutch law was that you couldnt have a big bike or car licence until 18, so we had two years of mopeds which meant it was worth getting one and having some fun. The cops were always wise to us modding them and it was cat n mouse for getting caught. As mentioned, I did get caught and had all my oversize and non OEM parts removed and crushed by the cop's mechanics division and got the rest back (it was a mess) and... well... then did it all again lol. So many stories like that from everyone who rode brommers (as they were called in Dutch) at that time. My old website had some as did the old MT5 uk website but all gone now, except on the wayback machine.

Erm.
My Mum used to buy these albums all the time in the seventies, not one song was by the original artists. Probably explains why they were so cheap...
