Hi Guys I’ve removed the two tiny brass balls on the original 4LO-01 carbs. These are on the side and I think it’s part of the air circuit and low and behold it was blocked. Have tried it and it is much better. One problem I have is that I am trying to set up the mixture screw. As per the haha Haynes. They are 1 and half turns out and runs ok. Turning the mixture screws on either carb has no effect on the revs. Even if I screw the screws all the way in it doesn’t change. I’m sure this isn’t right. The condition of the plugs after 250 miles are really black so I’m sure there is a mixture problem. All new Micuni brassware 220 mains and 22.5 pilot. New emulsion tubes, Float heights 21mm. Any ideas why turning the mixture screws do nothing.

I haven't been on here for ages and saw this thread that i started. Sorry for not posting the answer to my problem. It was the air correction circuit blocked with dried ultrasonic cleaner. After drilling the 3mm brass ball out (the outside one) and unclogging the the air channel and puffing out white powder it was like night and day. Absolute perfect now. Thanks all for your input....`
