Ive noticed some very slight corrosion in 1 week. I can only put it down to the extreme hot weather. My garage gets full sun nearly all afternoon. Standing next to my garage door feels like standing next to a huge radiator. Anyome else noticed this?
Maybe the humidity in Manchester?

Condensation mate, the air and the items heat and cool at different rates, this causes condensation to form on items, which in turn corrodes, extreme weather causes it to happen more.

Hot temperatures and humidity are a killer for bare steel parts. I once had 12 conrod pins on a bench in Papua New Guinea and after about 30 hours they started to rust. They were wiped clean with only a rag so there was still a bit oily but that didn't stop the rusting process.

Heat will always accelerate a chemical reaction, so it could be a problem. You would normally assume the heat would evaporate any water though. A bit of ACF50 would be a good idea.
