when i took my carb rubbers off between the carbs and the airbox they were like bricks.
am i going to have problems getting these back on?
are the ypvs ones different to the lc?
its a ypvs motor in a lc frame

Ask mutznutz for his secret recipe i think its winter green and rubbing alcohol and you soak them overnight and they come out soft again,he did the rubbers on my gamma when he had it they are still soft two years later but still stink

one part wintergreen to three parts rubbing alcohol is the recommended amount AFAIK

Or stick 'em in a bag with brake fluid for 24 hours.

Oil of Wintergreen works .. perfectly.. Straight out of the bottle. Paint it on Or sheep dip, then let air dry. Leave alone for a couple or 4 days. Repeat if found to not be soft enough. Care though, as one can over soften.. as the Oil keeps on working for some time. Smell evaporates after a week.. max.
In My experiences Brake fluid Swells as well as oversoftens rubber bits.. G'luck with that.

Oh man, This is like the bad old days of RDlife…. Yes they may go soft and squishy but for the sake of new, buy new…
Just makes sense to me
