Hi all. Finished work early on Tuesday last week and took my F1 out for a sunny ride to the Dales. Alas 2 miles out of Sedbergh I lost sparks so panels off & tools out. Cutting to the chase, the screws holding the stator laminated sections had come loose and one of them had come right out & danced around with the rotor, damaging some of the connections. Bugger. On the bright side I have a spare rotor & stator from a N1 so, I thought, no prob, I’ll just swap them over. However upon comparing the two systems there are differences. The N1 stator turns out to be off a LC2. Aside from the connections all the wires are the same as the F2 except the red/white wire is plain red on the LC2 stator. My Q is will the LC2 stator work with the 52Y CDI? I remember seeing a lengthy article dealing with this subject, on Norbo’s site I think, but can’t find it now. Should have copied it when I had the chance but didn’t
If there is no compatibility can anyone recommend a decent rewind service? I had my F2 stator done at West Country Windings several years ago but it didn’t last 10k miles, it was done again by a chap somewhere in the south, cheap & good, but last time I tried to contact him it appeared he’d either moved or retired, or both.
All advice gratefully received.

Rotors appear identical and have same long part ID number, F1 (right) has 3EZ suffix which matches the code on the stator, the spare from N1 (left) has 2EZ. No visible code on LC2 stator.
