I have noticed traces of oil from the final drive seal where the sprocket spacer is, not loads but was wondering if there should be an o ring where the spacer meets the bearing, looked on Fowlers parts list but nothing shown, but I’m not sure the parts catalogue is always correct. I’ve taken the bearing off to have a look.

No O ring, should be a half moon piece to locate the bearing in the crankcase. Jess

I have put a tiny amount of yamabond on the spacer to bearing face in the past. Not entirely sure if oil can track throught the ID of the spacer. Probably the big seal weep. What is the spacer OD surface like?

The spacer forms a seal against the bearing face, with the massive pressure of the sprocket nut, does it not?
