Thanks Andy ,
I have a c reg one as well but sadly she has been sat in the field for 20 years now and is to far gone ,, ,
I went up there Saturday to see if I could pull her back home but itโs bad , so pulled a load of parts of her and let her rot in to the ground

Me too
I had an 85 xr3i in the same grey as the rotten one
Amazingly no cracked dashboard and no fag burn on the rear spoiler from when the butt was tossed out the sun roof ๐
Brake pad warning light sensors were shagged as usual ๐

I used to change my car every couple of months back in the day, buying and selling, I had a MK1 XR2, they handled like go cart, but only 110mph top end, XR3 none injection, loved that car, XR2 MK2, wish I'd kept the MK1, a far better car IMO, and an RS turbo, blew that up twice, ended up with high lift cam, hybrid turbo and chipped, 185 BHP, mad little car, problem was it kept trying to mount the curb when you floored it off a bend.

Those pics take me back Done it myself, but my buddy would spray them for me. First class work there, a credit to you. Just noticed the blim burn in the seat 90% of the eighties nineties cars had them, or was that just around here, rental cars had the worst.

Have fond memories of my XR2i, Pirelli 6000s, third of a tank and one up was the sweet spot for neutral steering ballance arround roundabouts ๐, ( blue white , bounty colours? โฆ๐๐๐.. some theme here Iโm thinking nowโฆ) anyway, stolen once , recovered and repaired, came close to writing it off but a bit of steering with the car up on two wheels saved the day, finally stolen never to be seen againโฆ another small chapter of my life I look back on and wince ! ๐
