When I read this title Just When You Think It Can't Get Any Worse ! I first thought yep Ukraine 🇺🇦 it’s bad, men women and children being slaughtered at the behest of a madman or maybe the economy and how that’s going to adversely effect millions? Price increases on food basics or even Potential fuel shortages or price increases. Maybe even how certain members of HM govt are lying. Still I guess context is everything. It’s about an inanimate object being given personification and human ‘traits’.

Context is everything?
Errrm nope. Context is just left out now and the narrative inserted in its place. Whats going on now has been going on for a while and not just post 2016 But the headlines in the "press" have a different narrative now....where any other thinking will be cens..................................................
Give me pies any day, so much more honest and deserving than politicians... And a far better point to discus. And it's a "barm" Roll = Getting rolled is something that happens to you whilst you are in London for a weekend, where you hopefully only have your phone or wallet or both stolen. Bun = Is word used in the description of a lame fight ie "a bun fight" (Can be anywhere and not in a bakery, usually at closing time undertaken by tired and emotional people.)
And a "barmpot" isn't someone who eats cannabis buttys! (sandwiches/sarnie if you are below whatford gimp) A "barmpot" is usually a politician.

Oh and it’s either a cob or a bap! Nope. Cob = The Cob is a railway embankment on the Festiniog line at Porthmadog. Bap = Baps are a mammals way of feeding their young milk, they were once a female body part, but in these times of wokery and jackfruit steak pies, they are now body parts for him, her, they/them/it/those/these/comedians/non gender specifics who identify as a cats, aaaand the list goes on and on....sorry if I've missed out anyone/thing/person/being/it, ect ect.....

Chaps, I'll leave the discussion regarding the different names and types of bread rolls to those more knowledgable than myself.. but, I scanned down through the list of awards and saw that the Lochinver pie shop got the best Scottish meat pie, not to be confused with a Scotch pie, If anyone is passing by there it's well worth a visit.. They do veggy and fruit pies too.. Some might say they have "Pie high prices.." ahem, at six quid the last time i was in there.. but if you're only visiting once i.e. doing the NC500.. splash the cash, they also do mail order which is handy.. www.lochinverlarder.com/marti

They will also post them to anywhere in the UK. As for £6 a pie... well they are artisan hand made, not factory produced and it's a relatively small business, so I think it's worth it for a treat, and they are world class! Some chippies charge £3 for a pie..... so just shy of £6 seems a bargain for an outstanding award winning product. 40 odd yrs ago I used to get Scots products by post, kippers, Arbroath smokies, haggis, ect, the tinternet has opened up the market no end for these small producers.... Other pies are available elsewhere...

I know finger roll as long soft roll, easy at the back, no laughing, and baps or burger buns for the later round soft white, crusty for same But crusty obvs.
I worked in a fish & chip shop for 5 or 6 seasons in late 70s to eighties, we sold hotdogs and hamburgers, you can guess which is used for which, also a soft white buttered bap.
Should say, the burger bun has sesame seeds on top.
Just to say I wrote something else instead of no laughing, and the site keeps changing it, snig earing, now that's mad.

And how about Cornish Pasties…. Granted a particular baker or grandma’s recipe has minor variations in process or ingredients….but essentially it was what it was….
And then along came Greggs ! 😡😡😡

And then along came Greggs ! 😡😡😡 Now there's a debate for you, the Cornish pasty, not just what is in it, but how what's in it is prepared before filling said pasty, also does it or doesn't it have a sweet and savoury side, and then the shape too. I thought the Cornish pasty now had legal protection.
