Hi Guys Hope i am in the correct section here. I am fitting a 3xv swing arm into a LC frame I need to attach the shock to the swing arm and saw some mods on the forum. My question is does the mod (and i dont know who did it) with the bolt to adjust riding height work? I am scared the bolt will bend. Any other ideas maybe to make it look as if from Factory 20220222_165024 by Edd Twostroke, on Flickr Thank You Edd

Not really to much to add, other than.
I tried with this a few years ago, the swing arm is too long so gave up and stuck a Metmachex arm in it.

Edd I might be able to save you a lot of trouble, chippy348 is right it is a tad long, but then so are the RGV arms everyone seems to fit. I don’t see that as the deal breaker. I have a TZR 2MA arm in mine which is in between RGV and std length. It does change the handling, but being an old duffer I like it. It is more stable and less twitchy. Suits my more cruising riding ‘style’. Your main problem is the width. I’m assuming that’s a 3XV rear wheel based on the seemingly 5 bolt sprocket mount? I’ve spread a couple of LC frames to take a wider rear wheel. Up to YPVS width. Now I have persevered with a 3XV wheel in a YPVS and I had to move the sprocket about 15mm inbound to clear the frame. Check the chain run from the sprocket and see how much of the frame you’ll be sawing off with the chain. Jon

Hi Guys
Thanks for the replies. On my YPVS i fitted the vj 22 swing arm and i had to move the sprocket 10mm outwards. i was hoping it will be the case with the LC and 3xv swing arm. I already sorted the width of the swing arm I actually took of 5mm on the swing arm and fitted narrower bearings and shortened the bush and bolt. I will be fitting a YPVS motor with banshee barrels.

Run a straight edge from the sprocket to the frame and you’ll see what I mean.
