I've been a member for over 20 years, good value, discounts on bike spares at places like fowlers and silvers. Bi- monthly mag is quite interesting, bikes and parts for sale and info on meets local to you.

Depends where you live too. When I was in Sussex we had quite a lively local group. Now I'm in Lincoln, there's nowt, not even a local rep. Tried with another bloke to set a section up, but no takers, so I quit & saved the cash. In the VMCC too, saves more on insurance & 1,000 bikes than it costs to join and has a 1/2 way reasonable magazine.

Most of the discounts and benefits are also available with the Aircooled RD club…. Which in spite of polarised dna are still quite LC friendly….joint rally etc. Really depends how broad your interest is…. I decided not to renew VJMC as too much stuff I’m not specifically interested in.

I am also in the Aircooled club but have no Aircooled bikes anymore. I love their big rally in Derby.

I decided not to renew VJMC as too much stuff I’m not specifically interested in. I have seen the Aircoolec RD club a couple of times at the MCN show. I have thought about joining it as I have been thinking about getting a aircooled RD next but not really sure which one to start with?

Thruth is that the subscription fees are very modest £15, £25 etc… so that in itself is probably not restricting factor…. Just if you reflect and realise you didn’t join in with the events or even read much of the related mags, it sort of make sense to commit a bit more to one and engage as fully as possible.
