Could someone sugget tyres fopr a 250LC c.1984 running stock suspension, wheels, forks and swinging etc.

I've got Bridgestone BT45's on mine which I'd highly recommend. I think they might be superseded by BT46's now. You'll find plenty of discussion on the past posts though... others swear by Avon Roadriders.

Most people seem to use either the Bridgestones BT45's which are now BT46's or Avon Roadriders which are now MK2 I think, I've had 2 sets of BT45's on my 350LC now over the last 7 years, I got a bit over 6,000km out of the first set, well the back one, there was still plenty of life left in the front one, but I replaced them as a pair but they will be due for replacing by mid year when it's due for registration, I'll try the Avons next time I think, nothing wrong with the Bridgestones though, there seems to be quitre a few other options available though

I have tried the Bridgestones and i am now using the Roadrider 2's and i have to say i think the roadriders 2's are way better, just my opinion.

Back in 2017(?) Bennetts re-created the Yamaha RD250LC pro-am races with a full grid of bikes. Daryl Young put together 30 RD250's for the events and needing modern tires, he choose the: Continental 'ContiClassicAttack'
I've been running them for two years and, despite spirited riding, in wet and dry, have yet to find their limits. And can happily say, they are wearing well and i will replace them again when the time comes.

Yeah, but they don't do the ContiGo in the right sizes for the rear wheel.
Std rear fitment is 110/80 but all they do is 110/90 which is too tall a profile.
I always run one size up on my LC2 but again they dont do a 120/80 only 120/90 which again is too tall a tyre!!!😩
So I'll be sticking with my BT45/ BT46's. Better the devil you know!😁

Original. Note distance from top of tyre to the helmet lock. Also, my bike is on the center stand there, but note how the brake torque arm is just kissing the bottom of the exhaust. Same as mine.
